A commercial building or a multi-family property is not inspected like a single-family home. There are more systems, more occupants and more at stake, so the inspection has to be planned around the property and the reason you need it.

How a commercial inspection is scoped
Before the visit, Grant talks with you about the building, how it is used, what access is available and what you need to find out. The scope and the price are agreed in your written inspection agreement, so you know what the report will cover before any work starts.
Multi-family properties
A smaller multi-family home can often be inspected much like a house, with every unit and the shared structure, roof, basement and systems covered, while a larger building is scoped as a commercial inspection. Not sure which yours is? Call and Grant will talk it through with you.
Radon in larger buildings
Radon measurement in multi-family buildings, large buildings and schools follows different rules from a house. Patten Inspections LLC is licensed by the NJDEP for radon measurement in these buildings too, and it can be planned alongside the commercial inspection.
