We had a wonderful experience with Grant as our home inspector! As first-time homebuyers, we weren’t sure what to expect, but Grant made the entire process easy and stress-free. He was incredibly friendly and thorough — not only did he do a detailed inspection, but he took the time to walk us through everything he was doing step by step. He explained his findings clearly, answered all of our questions, and even offered helpful tips and advice on anything that needed attention. His patience and expertise made such a difference for us. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Grant to anyone, especially first-time buyers!

My attorney recommended Grant for some home inspections I needed, and I am so glad to have called him. Grant is lovely! Very kind, knowledgeable, thoughtful and thorough! I absolutely recommend Grant! Thank you so much again!! Miriam :)

Our realtor connected us with Grant for a new home inspection. What a great, detailed and seamless experience. We had such a difficult experience with a home inspection from our previous home. Super grateful to have been able to meet Grant and learn from him.

Grant is one of the best home inspectors out there! He is very knowledgeable about all that needs to be known about homes…the good and bad and will save you from hundreds of thousands of dollars of repairs. Worth every penny!

Grant is an exceptional home inspector. From start to finish he was so personable, extremely knowledgeable about every detail of the home, he paid such close attention to detail and provided the clearest most comprehensive inspection report. Not only was the report so impressive he also explained everything to us so we knew exactly what issues to raise with our sellers based on our contract terms. My husband and I were extremely impressed with him as a professional and how much he cared about our interest. He found things with the home that I don’t know if all inspectors would catch. I am so thankful we used him and I would highly recommend him for your home inspection! 6/13- Adding more to this review to further amplify how great Grant is! Due to his thorough inspection of the first home we were going to purchase, he saved us from buying a home that had some substantial structural issues that frankly would have been too much for us to take on fixing. Flash forward, we found another home a few weeks later and hired Grant to inspect it and he did another amazing job! He gave us the confidence of knowing the home we were buying was safe and in good shape! Once again I would highly recommend him!

Grant saw the need for further inspection in several areas and that was key to understanding what was going on in the home. He was so kind and polite throughout the whole process and provided valuable information along the way. My family and I really enjoyed working with Grant, the owner of Patten Inspections LLC. From the start, he was personable and professional—he followed up with me before and after the inspection by text, phone, and email. Before I even booked, he spent at least 15 minutes on the phone explaining the entire process and his pricing in detail, without any pressure to choose his company. That level of honesty and patience is what made us decide to go with him. The inspection itself took about 2–3 hours, and Grant was extremely thorough. He walked us through everything in person before sending the official report, which made the process feel much less overwhelming. Even though we opted to do the inspection for informational purposes only, Grant pointed out some important safety issues that actually helped us negotiate a credit with the sellers. I highly recommend Grant and Patten Inspections LLC to anyone looking for an honest, thorough, and reasonable inspection company.

Grant is absolutely incredible! During the home buying process where communication, professionalism, and time management is critical you want to ensure you have the right people with your best interest in mind. My husband and I happened to find Grant by chance and luckily he had an opening available to assist us with a sewer scope inspection. He is extremely responsive, honest and talented. He was on time to inspection and we received our report back very quickly. He made sure to check in with us to ensure our questions are answered and is extremely personable. Thank you!

He meticulously examined every corner of the property, leaving no stone unturned. His attention to detail was incredible, and I felt completely confident in his assessment. What truly set Grant apart was his ability to explain complex issues in a way that was easy to understand. As someone who doesn't have a background in construction or home maintenance, I appreciated how he took the time to walk me through each deficiency he found, explaining the potential implications and what my options were for addressing them. His patience and clarity made a world of difference. Grant didn't just point out problems; he provided practical solutions and advice on how to proceed. Whether it was issues with the roof, basement walls, foundation, or the sewer line, he offered detailed explanations and options for repair or replacement. This level of service is rare and invaluable, especially for a first-time homebuyer like myself. Furthermore, Grant's report was incredibly detailed and well-organized. The comprehensive document included clear photos, descriptions, and recommendations, making it easy for me to refer back to and share with contractors and other professionals. It was evident that he takes great pride in his work and strives to provide the best possible service to his clients. In addition to his technical expertise, Grant was also very personable and easy to work with. He made what could have been a stressful process into a manageable and even enjoyable experience. His friendly demeanor and willingness to answer all of my questions left me feeling supported and well-informed throughout the entire inspection. Overall, I highly recommend Patten Inspections, and specifically Grant, to anyone in need of a home inspection. His professionalism, thoroughness, and exceptional customer service truly set him apart. He was personable and went the extra mile to conduct a great general home inspection with all the add-ons we requested. He also saved us time by supplying references for all the issues he brought up in his reports

Who you pick as a home inspector really matters & not all inspection companies are created equally. As a local realtor, I’ve met many local inspectors, however Grant really sets himself apart with his genuine care for each client he helps. He is patient, knowledgeable and thorough. His inspection reports are clear and concise, documenting all important issues within the house along with recommendations on what he recommends to be the most important items to address (which is especially appreciated with first time homebuyers). I’ve had clients in the past have clarification questions and Grant never hesitates to hop on a call and explain his findings further. I would (and do) recommend him to my buyer clients again and again!

Grant is very accommodative and does a thorough if you are a first time home buyer I recommend him 1000% . He will help you through out the way and even give recommendations from his experience if needed

As a first-time homebuyer, I was feeling overwhelmed by the whole process. But having Grant inspect our potential new home was a huge relief. He was incredibly responsive when I contacted him about scheduling, and even offered a few flexible options to fit my busy schedule. What really impressed me was the technology he used. He not only did a thorough visual inspection, but he also used a drone to get a better look at the roof and an infrared camera to identify any potential hidden issues. It felt like he left no stone unturned! The best part? I had a detailed report in my inbox less than 24 hours after the inspection. This gave me peace of mind and allowed me to move forward with the negotiation process feeling confident and informed. Thanks, Grant! You made a stressful situation much easier to navigate. I highly recommend you to anyone looking for a thorough and efficient home inspector.

I contacted Grant Patten at Patten Inspections LLC to request a General Inspection, Termite/WDI and Radon inspection. Grant was very helpful and available to answer questions before, during, and after the inspection. He went to the house a few days early to place the Radon collection containers and was there before the inspection time to take pictures of the roof with his drone. Grant's detailed online (and PDF) report highlighted Significant/Major Defect Items in red, Marginal defect items that needed attention in yellow, and minor issues in green, along with informational items. This made it easier to decide which items to look into further and/or ask the seller to remedy. The additional details were even noticed by my real estate agent. I'm glad I got a Radon Inspection, even though I was initially hesitant. Our test results were higher than recommended, which isn't uncommon. I would always recommend getting a radon test in the future. Overall, it was great working with Grant from Patten Inspections LLC, and I would certainly use him again in the future.
